A compiled list of some of our most asked questions and helpful tips to help you along the way.

Welcome to RapidSeedbox!

We're so excited that you've chosen us to be the next stop on your seedbox journey 🚀

Below, we've put together what we think are some of the most commonly asked questions and some of the more helpful tips we have!

Common Issues & Solutions

Seedbox Is Offline or Unreachable

How to Fix

  • Try booting the seedbox from your VPS Panel.

  • If the seedbox remains unreachable, contact support via live chat and we’ll investigate immediately.

Unable to Access Service URLs from the Client Area

How to Fix

  1. Update your Seedbox OS. Article on how to update your Seedbox operating system

  2. Verify that the service is running from the Control Panel in your Client Area.

Advanced Troubleshooting

Log in to your Seedbox with SSH and run:

sudo seedbox-cp

If you’ve already updated your Seedbox OS and One-Click Apps but still cannot access service URLs, contact support and request an easy-ssl update.

Advanced SSL Repair

Log in to your Seedbox and run:

sudo easy-ssl -f

One-Click App Password Not Working

How to Fix

Sometimes newly installed One-Click Apps do not immediately synchronize passwords. Try the default password:

ChangeMe

If you want to reset the application password to the default value shown in your Client Area:

  1. Click Reset next to the affected service.

  2. Select Reset All.

Advanced Password Reset

Log in to your Seedbox via SSH and run:

changeseedboxpass

Refer to the password reset guide for additional information.

Seedbox Performance Is Slow

How to Fix

  1. Update your Seedbox OS and One-Click Apps.

    1. If you're experiencing a slower-than-usual seedbox, please follow the steps to ensure you're running the latest firmware updates.

  2. Run a direct speed test using LibreSpeed. We can install LibreSpeed on your Seedbox to determine your connection speed directly to your Seedbox.

  3. Restart your local PC, modem, and router. - As a good measure, reboot your local PC, modem, and router to ensure the healthiest connection possible.

Cannot Access Services on a Lean Seedbox

How to Fix

  • Open your Dashboard and confirm the service is active and running.

  • Verify that the affected application is enabled.

If you cannot access your Dashboard or are unsure whether the service is running, contact Technical Support and we’ll assist you.

Quick Tips

RSB-Dashboard

One of the best tools available to users is the Dashboard. Located inside your Client Area, Dashboard provides a way for users to quickly look at usage statistics and promptly access all installed services.

You can use the following structure directly in your Help Center article and later replace the screenshot placeholders with your actual images.

Network Diagnostics Using the RSB-Dashboard

The RSB-dashboard includes built-in network diagnostic tools that can help identify connection issues, routing problems, packet loss, or speed limitations between your device and your seedbox/server.

This guide explains how to use:

  • IPerf — for network speed and throughput testing

  • MTR — for route tracing, latency, and packet loss analysis

These tools are available directly from the RSB-Dashboard and do not require any additional software installation.

Running an IPerf Test

IPerf helps measure the network speed and connection quality between your local machine and the server.

How to Run an IPerf Test

  1. Log in to your Rapidseedbox, then choose Dashboard.

    Seedbox dashboard area

  2. Locate and open the SpeedTest (IPerf) tool.

  3. Choose the desired location of the destination server.

  4. Click Start.

  5. Wait for the test to complete.

ℹ️ After you hit start, please wait for 20-30 seconds until the results are displayed.

The Result dashboard will display:

  • Download speed

  • Upload speed

  • Connection stability

  • Throughput results

These results can help identify bandwidth limitations or unstable connections.

Running an MTR Trace

MTR (My Traceroute) helps identify routing issues, latency spikes, or packet loss between your location and the server.

It combines the functionality of both ping and traceroute into a single live diagnostic tool.

How to Run an MTR Trace

  1. Log in to your Rapidseedbox, then choose Dashboard.

  2. Locate and open the MTR tool.

  3. Click Start. *DNS resolving is optional. (Instead of bare IPs, you would see meaningful domain names)

  4. Allow the trace to run for at least 20–30 seconds for accurate results.

  5. Review the displayed hop-by-hop network path.

The results can help identify:

  • High latency

  • Packet loss

  • Routing instability

  • ISP or upstream network issues

When to Use These Tools

If you are unsure how to interpret the results, simply send the generated output or screenshot to the support team.

These tools allow our support team to diagnose connectivity issues much faster without requiring advanced technical knowledge from the user.

ThinLinc Remote Desktop

We highly recommend users who require remote desktop access use ThinLinc Remote Desktop. With no additional installation or setup required, ThinLinc Remote Desktop runs inside your web browser directly from your home computer.

Running a speed test on a RapidSeedbox server is easier than ever using Libre Speed

rClone Brower and rClone WebUI

If you're looking for a quick and easy tool for creating mount points between your seedbox and a remote device rClone provides an easy-to-use interface for both CLI and GUI lovers!

Deluge vs ruTorrent

The choice of a torrent client can be a tough call for some users. While some prefer to download only a few items at once, others prefer to pack their seedbox with thousands of torrents. When choosing which torrent client is right for you, ask yourself how much activity you'll need.Additionally, consider the specific limitations of each client. For example, qBittorrent's default configuration restricts active torrents to five at a time while requiring manual seeding for most upload activities.

High Activity (Thousands of torrents at once)qBittorrent is not recommended for high activity management due to its limitations on simultaneous active torrents and manual seeding requirements.

Written in c++, ruTorrent is our choice for users who wish to download as many torrents as possible.

Regular Activity (Up to 100 torrents)For smaller-scale workflows or specific needs, qBittorrent can be a suitable option but may require manual adjustments to overcome its inherent limitations.

We highly recommend that users try using Deluge for 100 torrents or less when using their seedbox.
