As the popularity of this awesome piece of software is growing, I am going to show you how you can start using it in just a few steps.
There are two possible scenarios:
If you want to use it to download files FROM your seedbox, you need to have it installed on your local machine. Go to this link, download it and install it.
If you want to use it to download files from some other servers directly to your seedbox, you need to install it using One Click Installer. As JDownloader doesn't have WebUI enabled at first by default, you will have to use Remote Desktop to access it.
How to download files/groups of files with it?
Well, it's quite simple and straightforward, so let's jump into it. We will be showing the example of downloading files from your seedbox to your local machine. So make sure you have it installed ;)
STEP 1 - Getting comfortable with the environment
STEP 2 - Login to your HTTPS Web Access
Here I will show you how to use JDownloader on your local machine to download files from your seedbox, but the procedure is pretty much the same for every other case.
First, we have to obtain a link for the file that we want to download.
Go to https://YOUR-IP/~user - the exact link and credentials can be found here
STEP 3 - Find the file and copy the link
Find the file/directory you want to download, right-click on it and "copy link location".
In JDownloader go to File -> Analyse Text with Links and paste the link there.
Now you will be asked to enter username and password. Use the same login data that you used for HTTPS Web Access.
Now in LinkGrabber find your file/directory and add it to the Download list.
If you have done everything properly, the download should start :)
TIP: Slow speeds? Try increasing the number of maximum chunks per Download. Click on settings and play with numbers, see what works best for you ;)
Please note that you need to start a new download in order for maxchunks to be used.
