How can I monitor and understand the Seedbox migration process, including progress updates, ETA, and post-migration status?

Learn how to track your Seedbox migration, check ETA, and review status after completion.

Understanding and Monitoring the Seedbox Migration Process

When migrating your Seedbox with RapidSeedbox, you may have questions about tracking your migration's progress, understanding the estimated time of arrival (ETA), and knowing what happens once migration is completed. This guide will provide you with all the necessary details.

How to Track the Migration Progress

After scheduling your Seedbox migration, you can easily track its progress within your client area. The migration typically begins shortly after it is scheduled. Simply follow the provided link in your client area to see real-time updates on the migration process.

Understanding the ETA for Migration

The estimated time of arrival (ETA) for your Seedbox migration is displayed and regularly updated in the client area. This ETA is an approximate prediction generated by the system and may vary depending on multiple factors.

To check the ETA:

  1. Log in to your client area.

  2. Navigate to the migration status section.

  3. Find the real-time ETA updates for your Seedbox migration.

Important Notes:

  • The ETA is subject to change and may extend beyond the initial estimate.

  • Migration time largely depends on the amount of data stored on your Seedbox. Large Seedboxes can take up to a full day or longer.

  • Before migration begins, an HDD compacting procedure is performed on your Seedbox. The duration of this step depends on factors such as disk capacity and CPU cores, which may sometimes result in a longer projected ETA (occasionally shown as several days).

  • The compacted Seedbox image usually occupies the most memory aside from your disk capacity.

  • In rare cases, heavy server load, hardware issues, or network conditions on our main servers can also slow down migration.

What Happens After Migration is Completed?

Once the migration is finished, your Seedbox will be operational and ready for use. You may also receive a notification indicating the successful migration and the uptime of your Seedbox. We recommend checking the operational status of your Seedbox to ensure that everything is functioning as expected.

By following this guide, you can stay informed throughout each stage of the Seedbox migration process—before, during, and after the migration is complete. Should you encounter any unexpected delays or have further questions, our support team is always available to assist.
