What is Overseerr? 🕵️

Overseerr is a free, open-source software application for managing requests for your media library. It integrates with your existing services, such as Sonarr, Radarr, and Plex!

We have two methods for installation

For this tutorial,

Let's get started! 🚀

Step #1 - Overseerr Installation

Method #1 - Docker 🐋 (preferred)

We'll use a simple Docker CLI to get going, but if you'd rather use Docker Compose, please do so. If you do not already have Docker installed on your seedbox, head to your Client Area >> One-Click Apps to install before you begin.

Grab the CLI text from the Overrseerr Docker hub here and make the necessary edits for your seedbox.

  • Edit Time Zone information

    -e TZ=<Your/Location>

  • Path to Docker destination.

/home/user/Docker/overseerr ## can be custom destination

After you have made your edits, it's time to hit enter to create the container.

If you were successful with this, you should now be able to access Overseerr using the following: <seedboxip>:5055.

Method #2 - Snap Store

Alternatively, you may also install snapd on your seedbox by issuing the following command:

sudo apt install -y snapd

After which you'll be able to install Overseerr by issuing:

sudo snap install overseerr

If you were successful with this, you should now be able to access Overseerr using the following: <seedboxip>:5055.

Step #2 - Overseerr Setup 😃

Welcome to Overseerr!

1. Click the sign-in button and sign in with your Plex credentials

2. Fill in your Hostname, Port, and Server >> Save Changes

**Enter IP first, then refresh the list of servers**

3. After you have added your server, you can now

Sync Libraries >> Enable Libraries >> Start Scan >> Continue

Step # 3 - Connecting Sonarr & Radarr

**You can add multiple Sonarr & Radarr instances. This is especially useful if you have 4K content stored on a separate Plex server.

🔴 This step will effectively remove your ability to hide Sonarr & Radarr behind our reverse proxy URLs provided to you in your Client Area.

Step 1: Open Radarr and head to Settings > General > click "Show Advanced" > then edit the "Bind Address =" with " * " and save!

Example #1 - Overseerr and *Arr on the same machine

Example #2 - Using Reverse Proxy

This example connects a remote instance of Radarr (or Sonarr) to your Overseerr running on a local machine.

You're all set! You should now be able to see your Overseerr homepage 🤯

I don't know what to do next...
