Updated over a week ago

Introduction

In this tutorial find out how to change the root password of your Seedbox, from your Seedbox Control Panel.

Just in case this isn't clear, the root account is a super-administrative account for Linux-based systems, the account that has access to anything and can do anything

Step 1

First, select the SeedBox where you want to reset the root password in your Client Area

Step 2

Now, you will see the list of credentials (seedbox-related services, usernames, and passwords). Find the Seedbox Control Panel one and click on it

Step 3

Now you should enter your username and password for Control Panel

Seedbox Control Panel is a very powerful thing and you can learn more about it here

Step 4

Scroll down if you don't and click on Root/Admin Password

Step 5

Now all you have to do is enter a new desired password (make sure it's strong) and click on CHANGE

And that is how you change the root password. Simple, right?

I don't know what to do next...
