Step 2: Click Start Wizard to move on

Next.. We will set up our News Server. By default, News Hosting is used, and we will continue with that as our Usenet News Server moving forward.

  1. This is where you'll enter your preferred News Server. news.newshosting.com

  2. Enter the Username created/provided by News Server

  3. Enter the Password created/provided by News Server

  4. Enable SSL **It is highly recommended that you enable SSL to keep your traffic secure**

  5. Use a secure port provided by your News Server provider. Generally, these ports will be 563 or 443. **using an insecure port will result in your activities being exposed**

  6. You can set the number of connections as high as you'd like. For News Hosting, there are different connection limits for different subscriptions.

  7. Now we are ready to click Test Server. If this does not present you with an error, please proceed to the next step!

After completing this setup wizard, you'll be taken to the SABnzbd homepage. If you want to add another news server, please click on Gear Icon >> Servers >> Add Server

After successfully setting up your News Server, you may be wondering where to go next! This is entirely up to you and how you intend to use SABnzbd. This also works great as a Download Client in Sonarr or Radarr. You can also set custom categories within the Category section.
